Spring Break.... anniversary

(Ok I just published this and then looked at the photos... all I could think was 12 years ago hu... seems like last month and I don't remember being that skinny...)
I feel like I have been neglecting my blog as of lately... not because we haven't been busy, but because most of the time I feel like if I don't have a picture I don't really want to put anything up... I haven't been taking all that many pictures lately. So just for an update. The boys are doing piano lessons, and Cub Scouts, the girls are in dance, and now we get a week "off" for spring break. Grandma took the kids ALL 5 for the weekend so Larry and I could go away for our anniversary. It was so nice to have a little break. We only went to Lincoln City for one night (not thinking we were going to have a whole weekend). We shopped and ate yummy food, stayed Friday night and then headed to Portland for a ward temple trip. Which was really nice to have to feel rushed about getting back to get a baby sitter home! It was a little weird to be in our house and have it be sooooo quiet. Usually during the summer if mom takes kids for Grandma camp I still have the dog. Which follows me everywhere like a shadow! But she went with the kids (since we were not going to be home!) Anyway it was a nice break though. Larry made me breakfast Sunday. (our actual anniversary! 12 years!) I made cookies for my beehives, we had tons of time with out 5 kids to get ready. Then he made me dinner as well. It was a wonderful weekend full of rest. Then Monday I went to Prineville and picked the kids up. My sister in law Angela followed me with her kids. They spent Monday and Tuesday night with us. We spent Tuesday at OMSI, and then I kept the kids Wednesday morning so she could go to the temple. The rest of spring break is going to be filled with (tomorrow) cleaning and maybe a trip to the store, and Friday I will be at the scrapbook convention shopping and then dancing in a talent show with a few friends for their ward. Anyway I didn't take any pictures of all of this stuff we have done so just enjoy my narrative... or not since I am sure no one reads it anyway, it is for me anyway.

Look what I made!

So I decided my girls needed a St. Patrick's day hair clip... This is what I came up with! Amelia wore them to school today, even if St. Patty's day isn't until tomorrow. Pretty proud of myself.

Ethan's 11 birthday

So here is Ethan with his pie. He looked pretty wipped out in all the pictures I took. I guess it has something to do with spending the entire day skiing with his dad! What a day! The other one is a "hat" Hayden made for him. She was so proud of it! He was a good brother and prettended to love it.

Look who's 11!

Ethan turns 11 today! I can hardly believe it has been that long. He is such a good boy and I am so blessed to be his mom! I have loved watching him grow and start to turn into a young man. I can't help but think that in a year from now he will be getting the priesthood and passing the sacrament! We were watching some old family video's a few weeks ago and Ethan was just barely 4 in them (Hayden's age now!) It made me a little sad missing those days, but I wouldn't trade any I have had! He is such a great kid! Thanks for being part of our family Ethan!

Ethan asked for Lemon pie for dessert. I will post pictures of the Birthday stuff latter.

Principal's award

Brock came home from school today with a Principal's award! I was so proud of him! He had to earn 3 Dolphin high 5's to get one (they get these for doing great things like helping others, using good manners...) He is my first one to get one! He also got a free movie ticket and bumper sticker to go with it!

Girl stuff

I just wanted to show off my babies pig tails! She looks so cute! She has also just discovered the mountains of Little People in my house and she LOVES them! So cute.

Last night was Amelia's 1st grade music program. She was so excited and picked out her whole cowgirl costume herself (left over Jessi costume from 5 years ago when we did Toy Story 2). She looked cute and sang great!

sick and sweet

Poor Ruth has had a little bug latley. She has been running a fever for 3 day (yes I took her to the DR. It is a viral infection it will clear up...) She is so sweet, not fussy. Just snugglie while sick. She doesn't eat much which worries me since my soon to be 17 month old is a whoopping 16.7 lbs today at the DR! But hopefully she will be on the mend soon! I loved this picture because she LOVES this Elmo and snuggles him all the time!~

Cross over

Last week Ethan crossed over to Boy Scouts! The Order of the Arrow came and it was a great program! I am so proud of him! Sorry for the lack of pictures of him in this but I had to stand up front with him and didn't think to get some one to take the pictures for me...
