"Tiny" dancers

Back in September I started teaching dance lessons in the garage. I was nervous as to how well it would go. I had fun, but I wanted mom's who were paying me to do so to feel it was worth their money. I had enough moms want to do it again that we did another session. (I even had to tell one mom I was full!)
We had our second recital last night and we did all music from the Disney movie Enchanted. And already by this morning I am sure I have 2 classes that are full! If I get enough interest I might add another day eventually. The girls did a great job. I was so proud of them. Amelia's class' jazz routine was to "Thanks How You Know" and the music got stuck close to the end and the just kept going and picked right back up where they should be! I was so proud of them! They all looked cute and we didn't have any stage fright!
This time we used the Central High School Cafeteria. The stage is much bigger and worked perfectly. It was nice to have a curtain, and all that stuff to make it feel more official for the girls. I am looking forward to the next session... now I better get busy with some choreography!

Hayden and Claire! So cute!

Here are all my cute dancers. From left to right, Natalia, Daniella, Claire, Hayden, Cathy, (Back) Jocie, Norah, Amelia, Elle, and Lucia! Great job girls!

Amelia's baptism

So we spent 2 fun filled days the the Great Wolf Lodge and then everyone came to our house to spend the next 2 days doing wonderful spiritual things together! Saturday March 11th Amelia got baptized. It was wonderful. We had gotten special permission to not participate in the Stake Baptisms because then my family wouldn't have to travel twice for the baptism and the ordination of Ethan. This way we could do both the same weekend. I made Amelia's baptism dress. I set a goal a year ago to learn how to sew and follow a pattern. I have been taking baby steps with skirts, pillow case dresses, and other small things. Then I did dresses for the girls before Christmas so I could practice with a pattern. Then I took this on (in the middle of the spring bazaar!!!!) But I got it done and I was so excited with how it turned out and was so proud of my self. She looked so Beautiful!

I loved this hair style I did for her to keep her hair from floating up.

She was so excited and I have to say my heart was so so happy to be married to a man who is able to baptize and bless our children with his priesthood! I don't want to go into to much detail about my feelings, mostly because sometimes I feel they are a little private, or tender. But I have never wanted to be a priesthood holder, I have never wished that women could hold the priesthood, I understand the blessing of men's priesthood power, and the amazing power women have for giving birth and being mothers. But this week, as we have been preparing for these two big steps for our kids it has hit home for me very clearly. I have given birth to these kids, I have fed them, taught them, nurtured them, and done all that I think I can to help them get to this point. Then my husband is able to bless them and give them that next thing that they NEED to help them back to our Heavenly Father. I truly give them life, I do all I can and he fills in the rest. I see and feel so much more our Heavenly Father's plan. I have always known but there are times in your life where things just become more clear, or more relevant in your life. This was one of those for me.

My beautiful girl!

Ok I am a "bad" mom. I didn't take nearly enough pictures of this weekend! I didn't get a picture of Ethan in his new suit! But Grandma and Grandpa Davis bought him a new suit for his 12th birthday! He looks so handsome! He became a deacon today! It truly has been a wonderful weekend filled with fun, and then topped off amazingly with some of the best things in a mother's life! True joy comes from seeing your children choose the right, and make steps closer to the kingdom of heaven.  I will post pictures of Ethan next Sunday when he is all dressed up and ready to pass the sacrament for the first time!

Great Wolf Lodge

FINALLY! We made it to the Great Wolf Lodge and got to stay! Our trip was planned for January but because of major ice and snow storms they were out of power and closed... So we rescheduled for this week. Which worked perfect! We were there for Ethan's 12th birthday! Sadly my little sister and her husband couldn't come. (She is only a few weeks from having a baby). Then at the last minute my Brother Sam and his family couldn't come because 2 of their kids were sick. But 9 of the 12 grand kids were there and 6 grown ups! It was a blast! These are a few of the pictures of us at the restaurant. (I love the chairs!)

Our waitress was SOOO nice. Ruth was on the verge of melt down (and did melt down some) they didn't have color crayons but she gave us her pen and let Ruth color on her menu.

They came and sang a fun Birthday song to Ethan. The funny thing was my son who doesn't seem to get embarrassed by much was embarrassed when they came and sang to him. It was cute!

We love the story time they do at bed time for the kids! All the kids loved it! I love the fun Wolf Ears the kids got with their kids meals.

They have these fun coloring pages out in the lobby!

I never did get a picture of all the kids together (or very many pictures to be honest!) But I do love these of Brigham and Johnnie with Ruth. Ruth wanted to hug this bear, of course she wanted to hug everything we saw there!

Here is a shot of part of the water park. SO FUN!

Lunch in the water park! And Grandma with her Pepsi!

The wave pool which we all love!!!

Ruth was in love with this place!!! She only wore those goggles for a minute but I had to get a picture because I love her frog face!

Hayden loved the wave pool, as well as everything else! She finally went down the 2 slides she could do the last 30 minutes we were there and she loved it! So cute!

Brock loved the slides, and the swimming!
