Ok these pictures are NOT going to be in order and I can't figure out how to make them be... This is our 4th of July weekend! We got to have some of our Workman cousins over for a few days while their mom and dad were off celebrating their wedding anniversary. I actually love that their anniversary lines up with the 4th of July. It has become such a fun tradition for me and my kids to have their cousins here for the holiday! On the 3rd we celebrated by going to the park and getting treats! They picked popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones!
On the 4th we have a LARGE BBQ every year and it is so much fun for the kids to swim and we all eat. At the end we light off fire works. All our neighors have really gotten into the festivities and it makes for a BIG show on our street. (Let's just say maybe not ALL that happened on our street may have been "legal") Fun to watch! Oh and an AMAZING sunset!

I don't know for sure but I kind of think maybe Ethan was contemplating that the next two 4th of July's he will have will be very different... They will just be like any other day since he will be in the Philippians and not celebrating our Independence.

Ruth loved the water fountain at the park and got her dress soaking wet. But she had a great time twirling around to try and get it to dry.
Often on the 3rd we try and go to the fireworks at the park. It is to crazy on the 4th to go. It is really nice that they do 2 days worth here! Tyrah was our "pink Ninja" Since it gets cool as soon as the sun went down we bundled up.

The parade is always so much fun. I love it even more now that my family lives close enough that they get to come too! I finally got my parents to come by telling them how much fun it is to watch Sam and Sunny heckle all the people in the parade. I did NOT know this meant that this year it meant I was going to get a water balloon to the chest right after this picture was taken... Thanks Sunny! The kids loved it. Oh and yes Hyrum I see your eye level! (punk)

Our City Public works truck came by and they had a Workman dump body on it my dad got so excited that he was yelling I built that and ran after it so we could take a picture of him with it.

At the BBQ Ruth was CRAZY hopped up on sugar and junk and the super nice Dean was trying to wear her out. He learned that it isn't really possible but she had a great time while he tried. They chased, he spun her around and wore himself out!
I love the 4th of July! I love our country and all those who have helped make it the amazing country it is! We are truly blessed. And so blessed to have the amazing community that celebrates it BIG. It is my 2nd favorite holiday. 2nd only to Christmas of course. We have great traditions and so much fun. (Hopefully we will have nicer weather to enjoy it with next year!)

Elder Davis!

Friday night the 15th we had a big party to celebrate Ethan's graduation. I had a big map up and everyone could guess where he would go! The very next day his mission call came! (Only we didn't know it until Sunday Morning because we went to the lake and then the older kids had a temple trip and Larry took my mail key so I couldn't check the mail when I was going to). Sunday (Fathers Day) was so exciting! He waited to go to Grandma's house that evening to open it when were were all planning on being there for Father's day dinner. He was called to   Philippines Baguio speaking Tagalog! He reports August 22nd! We will have a very busy summer getting him ready!!! Passport arrived TODAY! So now we just have shopping, shots, visa....... 65 days of CRAZY prep! Don't worry he isn't wasting any time! He is working all day today!
I thought I would feel so scared with a foreign call but I felt so much peace as soon as he ready it. I got a little teary as he said Philippians but not scary tears just a little excitement. I know he is so ready for a grand adventure and to go teach the people about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to invite them to Come unto Him. I know the Lord will watch over him.

The high school has for the last 2 years taken the graduates to all the elementary schools to "walk" for all the kids. To help them get excited and want to do the same some day! It was especially special for Ethan to get to see his little sister there. She is going to miss him so much. I know she is already struggling with the thought of it!
This was his Last Thespian induction. He got a special service award that made Wendy cry when she gave it to him and made me cry too! He is so filled with service! Brock was also inducted and got awards for having high grades as well!

On Ethan's last day of school he came home and blew bubbles with Ruth
Graduation was very..... wet but so proud of him and all his work! Look at all those cords and metals! He worked for everyone of them! Such a great kid and a hard worker! So glad Grandma and Grandpa could come!

At his last Choir concert! This choir took 1st in state competition. They worked hard and have an amazing director! Mr. Witt is such a great man and blesses the lives of 100's of kids! Mr. Witt also gave Ethan a special service award in choir.

Brock 16!

Brock turned 16!!!! We love this kid!! He is so kind, loving, peaceful, friendly, dedicated, and loyal! He has worked so hard in school to keep straight A's in high school! He asked for a smartwatch and a few accessories for his little tablet/laptop he had bought a month or so before. He's the kind of kid that I just let put his wishlist in the Amazon cart then I go through and pick which ones to get. He does all the research on the items so he knows what he really wants!

Hawaii with the Boys

The Polynesian Cultral Center was a HUGE highlight! We learned so much and had SO much fun!!!
This was the resort we stayed at. It was so beautiful! The snorkeling was pretty good too!

Sunday we went to Pearl Harbor. It was very reverent feeling.I'd been 2 times before but I think it is a good thing for our boys to get to go as well.

We also did a short hike to this water fall and then watched turtles in the waves on Sunday

Before the PCC opened we went to the temple visitor center. It was WONDERFUL!

The Luau at the PCC was so much fun! The boys ate till they were STUFFED

So many fun shows at the PCC! We just loved the people there. They are funny, warm and full of life.

Just a little more of the beauty!!! Can't get enough of this place! We also stopped at the Dole plantation, and a few other little stops on the way. We never stopped in Honolulu or Wikiki. They are just giant cities and we were there for the beach and the food!
